House hunting is a lot of fun and we both enjoy visiting and showing homes. There is always something new and interesting on the market. Lately, the market has been very active and we’re happy to offer all clients the opportunity to see and view listings before they are posted to Realtor.ca, the national MLS® system. This service is called Private Client Services and it’s free with no obligation to purchase.

As REALTORS®, we have special priviledges to access information and see beyond the bricks and mortar of a new home. We’re able to look at asking price histories, selling prices, tax records, and much more. We also receive training on a regular basis so we’re aware of changes to legislation, problems and solutions to building issues, and local plans and bylaws that might affect your decisions.

Negotiating a price for your new home can be an exercise in patience. We are trained negotiators and have years of experience asking the right questions and helping others see the value in a property. It’s a good idea to have independent representation so give us a call–our services are free to buyers–instead of engaging the seller’s agent in “dual agency”.

After an offer is accepted, we will continue working on your behalf to monitor deadlines, coordinate paperwork, and ensure that you have all the support you need to complete the purchase. We will help you find the best mortgage broker, home inspector, and insurance agent for your needs.

Why should I use a REALTOR® to sell my home?

Did you know that last year visitors to Realtor.ca spent over 36 million hours searching the MLS® website for properties? And that only a REALTOR® can list your home on the national Multiple Listing Service?

There are five basic areas where a licensed REALTOR® provides value and protection to sellers. The first and most important benefit is correct pricing for the market. If the market is very active, then the price should reflect demand so the homeowner recieves the best possible price. On the other hand, if the market is slow then pricing should reflect the homeowner’s desire to move by a certain date.

When you use our services your home is marketed through a syndicated network of websites so it will appear in hundreds of places on the Internet. Your home will recieve the widest possible exposure with professional photography, multimedia, and a professional marketing program.

We’ll help you decide which offers should receive an appropriate and timely response. At that point, we begin negotiating on your behalf to obtain a price that is acceptable to both parties. And, when the offer is accepted, we continue to work for you, coordinating the arrangements and overseeing the process.

About Peter

About Peter

I have worked as a professional team in Nanaimo since 2005 when my wife and I purchased Realty Executives of Nanaimo. Working as brokerage managers, we were fortunate to gain experience in a wide range of business activities and advanced training that allows us to have better insight, and a more proactive approach. These days we continue to work together with myself as Realtor and my wife as my Office Assistant.

Both of us believe strongly in “The Golden Rule”, which is to treat others as we would want to be treated ourselves. This philosophy is codified in our provincial licensure as “fiduciary duty”. That means we’re obligated to handle each transaction with the same care and concern that we would give to our own purchase or sale. A dedication to fairness and honesty, combined with a strong work ethic, is the special combination that our clients recognize in us.

As long-time residents of Nanaimo, we’re involved in the community and support local organizations and efforts to make Nanaimo a great place to live. There is a Chinese proverb that says “a good neighbour is a found treasure” and that’s why we call Nanaimo home – it’s full of good neighbours. Call me today  to discuss your next real estate transaction.
